Expanding Perspectives

This new artistic project, currently being created and explored, proposes a reflection on our points of view, our perceptions and what nourishes our vision and inspiration on a daily basis. It questions our relationship to space through compositions on paper and three-dimensional objects such as wooden totems. These forms become revisited landscapes, where feelings and points of view take on an immersive dimension.

This project is an invitation to reconsider the landscapes that surround us through an artistic prism, where imperfection, balance and aesthetics coexist to reveal new perspectives.

The first presentation of this work took place from March 13 to June 26, 2025 at the Galerie Mosaic Room in Vevey (CH).

Following the Imperfections Alignées series, Milena Quattrocchi continues her exploration of balance by integrating a new dimension into her artistic language. With Expanding Perspectives, she offers a reflection on our viewpoints, perceptions, and what shapes our daily gaze. Through volumetric compositions, she plays with the perception of space and movement, inviting the viewer to observe from a renewed perspective.

Repetition of lines and the relationship with imperfection remain central. Her line, always free and assertive, carries an intimate dimension: her autoimmune condition causes tremors. This accepted reality unfolds throughout her compositions. Minimalism, usually unforgiving of irregularity, here embraces the uniqueness of the gesture. Her line is not imperfectly constructed; it is simply drawn as it is.

Expanding Perspectives extends her language beyond paper. The line becomes volume, expands into space and interacts with light. Through paper compositions and three-dimensional objects, Milena explores how our perceptions shift in response to materials and changing perspectives. The experience becomes physical and immersive.

True to her core values—contrast, balance, tension, and harmony—this project opens new possibilities through the exploration of new mediums. It is also rooted in ecological awareness, where material choices are an integral part of the artistic process.
